Last swim class - and visit to someone special!

We had our last swim class on Saturday - the kids LOVED swimming with Grammie! David sat on the side line with Dominic and took pictures. I think I may sign them up for another class this fall - so they can continue to enjoy the water!

Grammie then brought Ari's new car so she could play outside - they kept fighting over Matthew's fire truck! Now they both have their own car - and they still fight over the cars!

On Sunday, I took the kids to see the Easter Bunny! We waited in line for 30 minutes - and Ari started whining - I told her we were next and that she had to wait. Once it was her turn - we put the twins down and they ran up to the bunny! They pat his leg and turned to the crowd and laughed! They then started barking because they thought the bunny was a dog! LOL We told Dominic if he was going to be in the photo - that he had to look at the camera and keep smiling - it was hard enough to get the kids to laugh. Wouldn't you know...it took 12 tries to get Dominic to smile and look at the camera - and the kids were smiling until the 11th try! haha

Spring has Sprung!

This weekend was absolutely BEAUTIFUL - Saturday it hit 75 degrees! We spent the entire day outside! My nephew spent the night and he and Dominic played outside all day - and they had fun pulling the kids in their wagon too!

We went to the park at the end of the street - there aren't any baby swings there, but we have those in our backyard. The kids played on the slide and sat on the swings with Dominic and Jacob! They all had fun - and the twins cried when they had to go inside!

Last night after the kids had a bath - they wanted to go back outside - so we put their coats over their PJ's and their shoes on and they played with the neighbors for a little while too! Speaking of baths...Arianna decided she likes to throw things in the tub - last night I was getting the kids ready for their bath and she threw my slippers in the bath! Then...I was cleaning Matthew and Ari decided to fill up their cup of water and pour it all over my lap! I tell ya - we're going to have our hands full with her! hahaha

Ear Infection #2!

Well - it's inevitable - if one get sick we all get sick! Matthew had been pulling at his ear for the past few days, so I took him to the doctor yesterday after he developed a 101 temp. She said he definitely had an ear infection. She did say that his 2 top 1 year molars were coming in as well! Poor kid!

Here's a picture of Matthew - even though he's under the weather, he's still enjoying the sunshine...He was wearing our neighbor Nicole's glasses.

Tomorrow marks week 3 of swimming lessons - This week our neighbor Val is coming with me. She is home from College until Sunday and she loves spending time with the kids! David is going to stay home with Dominic and my nephew Jacob. We allowed Dominic to have his first sleep-over this weekend - Dominic has stayed at my brother-in-law's house a few times, but Jake has never stayed here! They have been having a blast!

Oh...RATS!

Our neighbor Val came home from college for spring break on Saturday - and brought her new pet Wiskey over to visit. The kids LOVED her! I did take a video of Ari kissing Wiskey! She screamed with excitement - and I think poor Wiskey is deaf now!

Stink Face

I thought I'd share a picture of our sweet Arianna - she has this "stink face" she makes and it is absolutely priceless! She does it on command now and laughs afterwards - she's such a ham!

1 year check up

Ari and Matthew had their 1 year check up yesterday - and all looks good (except little peanut has an ear infection)

Arianna is 20lbs 1oz and 29.5 inches long! She does have an ear infection - and we feel bad because she hasn't been complaining or tugging on her ear. The doc said she is growing like a weed and can't believe she is running now. She'll be on Amoxicillin for 10 days to get rid of this infection!

Matthew is 20lbs 3oz and 29.5 inches long! They both had to have 3 shots yesterday and Matthew had to have blood drawn to check his iron levels. He has been taking iron drops for the past 3 months to help with the Anemia - so I'm just waiting on the doctor's call to give me the update!

Both are drinking Milk now - no more formula (woooo hooooo) and we turned their carseats facing front on Saturday - so my babies are now toddlers!

Kiera is 1!

My God-daughter Kiera turned 1 yesterday and we all went to her birthday party! It was a VERY busy day for us! We started off with Church in Quincy for my grandparents memorial mass, then went to dbar for brunch (so Ari and Matthew had their 1st d-brunch) - I kept appologizing to the waiters cause of the mess they made on the floor! Uncle Brian then came with the broom and swept it all up! They were the hit of the restaurant!

We then headed to Canton for Kiera's party. Kiera had fun playing with all her little friends - but when it came time for cake - she really wanted no part of it...so...my Matthew stepped up to the plate and helped her out! See below...(play by play)

Little stinker he is!!! We all had a great time - and now Lisa and I can enjoy the next years of their life now that we both survived the 1st year!

Swimming Lessons

David and I started swimming lessons on Saturday, March 6th and they loved it! Arianna wanted to jump in the pool the second she saw it! Lessons go from 9-9:30 for the next 4 Saturdays. The instructor starts each class with a song so you get to know all the kids in the class - kind of cheezy but cute...We do have some friends who are taking their daughter to the class too - so Stacy was nice enough to take a bunch of pictures for us! I told David we need another adult to come with us because changing ourselves - and changing the kids after swimming was a process - it took us 30 minutes! LOL

Here are some pictures:

Our Babies are 1 ... sniff sniff!

Arianna and Matthew turned 1 yesterday! Where did this year go...I tell you where...it went faster than the blink of an eye! I look at how great the kids are doing (walking, talking, climbing stairs, etc.) and I think of how lucky we are! I sat here all day at work (I did get some work done) but I listened to the Mix Cares for Kids radio-thon broadcasting from Boston Children's Hospital. My heart breaks for those parents who have to deal with heartache on a daily basis and I thank God every day for how blessed David and I are to have two beautiful, healthy children.

Ari and Matthew had a fun day yesterday! She still isn't feeling 100% and threw a few temper-tantrums, but over all we had a good day. I took the day off and we played all day. David and I got the kids a ball pit for their birthday and they had fun with it! They didn't want to come out! I took the kids to the mall and got Arianna's easter dress and a nice shirt for Matthew (of course they will match!). I'll also be using those outfits for their 1 year pictures...which I have to schedule soon!

I baked the kids a cake yesterday and Matthew went to town eating it - Arianna wanted no part of it (mainly becuase she was so tired at that point) - she just wanted to go to bed!

We start swimming lessons this upcoming Saturday at the YMCA. We will be going for the next 4 weeks - so I'm looking forward to that. They also have their 1 year check up on Tuesday - so we'll be able to see how big they are!

They will also be upgrading to their next stage car-seats this weekend! No more infant seats for my toddlers!
