Gated Community!

We had a yard sale this weekend - and I ran to 4 different stores trying to find a gate that would contain the kids...and by golly we did it! This gate is the best invention and I wish we thought of it earlier! This is by far the BEST 100.00 I've ever spent! This gate folds up and is easy for travel too - so we'll be bringing this to Grammie's, the beach, BBQ's, etc.!

In other news...Ari's hair is finally long enough to put in a little Pig Tail - she looks SO adorable and I've been trying to put it in every day! She's been pretty good with it - but Matthew feels like he needs to pull on it half the time! So to make him feel better, Daddy gave him a cool hair do too!
The kids are saying new words every day! Here is an updated list of some new words - may be some repeats from the last post:
Ari: Circle, Star, Turtle, Up, Hair, Hat, Car
Matthew: Hat, Up, Car, Turtle
Some similar words - if I think of any more I'll post more!

Mr. Mischief

Matthew is our Mr. Mischief - He is into everything and he just looks at you and laughs when you tell him NO! Today, I picked him up from Joyce & Mike's house and I got the word that he fell and hit his head. I was thinking he bumped it - ok...well he has an EGG on his head! Joyce felt so bad - but she said she turned her back and next thing she knew Matthew was screaming. She thinks he bumped his head on the radiator or the rocking chair in their kitchen. Once he finished crying and she put him down - Ari saw this as the perfect opportunity to tackle him...so down he went on his forehead AGAIN! Here are a few pictures of his bump:

On other news - Matthew still yells for our neighbor Bob Morning, Noon and Night! They look out the window and yell for him and bark when they see their dog Jacoby. Bob is sure a celebrity in our house!

Ari is doing well too - still crazy and loves to learn. They are both so smart! Tonight I asked Ari to get me her "nite nite" book so she went to look for it. I said it is under the light (meaning on the table under where the light is) well instead of looking on the table - she looked up to the ceiling looking "under the light"! The two of them definitely know what we are saying and are little sponges.

Hoppy Easter

We had a busy weekend! (what else is new!) Saturday we brought the kids to the College for their 1st ever Easter Egg Hunt! Matthew loved picking up the eggs - throwing them on the ground and cracking them open! He didn't care about what was inside - he was more excited that he got the egg open! Arianna picked up the eggs and ran around with them - They had fun and that's what counts!!!

Weather wise - this weekend was beautiful! On Saturday it hit 78 degrees - and yesterday we got up to 80! Such a change from the rain we had! The kids love playing outside - and we can't seem to get them back in once they are out.

We celebrated Easter yesterday - also my birthday (the big 31) - also Opening Day for the Sox - which we won by the way - beat the Yankees...WOO HA! The Easter Bunny came to our house bright and early and hid a bunch of eggs in the living room for the kids to find! He brought them books, new sippy cups and toys for the beach. David and I took the kids to church in the morning - which was an advenutre! There were lots of kids there - but mine seemed to be crazy. They wanted to run around. Arianna was playing with the lady behind us - and while she was kneeling, Ari tried taking her diamond ring off her finger. Matthew saw the teenager sitting in the pew next to me was sleeping - and he walked on over and banged his hands on his lap to wake him up! It was hysterical. Then we went to Grammie & Grampa Steve's house. We did an easter egg hunt outside - the chocolate was melted becuase it was so warm out! They hid over 150 eggs! We then played outside for most of the day - then had a yummy dinner and FABULOUS desserts! Overall it was a great day - but I'm exhausted!

New words...New Adventures

Arianna and Matthew have been babbling up a storm lately and they both have been saying a few new words - here is the total count (I hope I don't miss any...)

Ari: Duck, Hi, Bye, Nicole, Papa, Star, Ball, Bob, Mama, Dadda
Matthew: Hi, Bye, Val, Bob, Lynn, Papa, Arianna (pronounced Aridada), ball, Mama, Dadda

They love yelling for the neighbors - and Matthew yells for BOB non-stop! Ari and Matthew pile things up and look out the window - here's Ari's new found adventure:

I brought the kids to Auntie Marci's house yesterday afternoon to decorate some Easter Eggs - they didn't quite get the concept, but had fun playing with each other. We're all going to the Egg Hunt that the College is sponsoring on Saturday! Should be fun!
