Wednesday Funday...Capron Park

Today's adventure brought us to Capron Park & Zoo in Attleboro. Unfortunately, Marci and Andy weren't able to join us today - Connor was sick! But...Grammie was able to take the day off today - so she joined in on the fun! The kids had a great time - even though they had NO naps! They loved seeing the animals - and most of them were out today! The best was the sign at the lion cage!!! After we saw the animals, we went to a picnic area and had lunch. We then went off to the swings for a little while - then to the splash park!

The splash park was an adventure - Matthew went one way and Ari went the other. At one point Ari took off running and Grammie ran after her - she carried Ari back and she was soaked! Apparently one of the water hoses turned on as she was running over it! hahaha

After the zoo we went to Lisa's parent's pool. The kids had a blast - however - my kids are WAY too daring! I jumped off the diving board to splash them - the next thing I knew, Matthew ran out of the pool and onto the diving board. He thought it was a game to jump off! Gave Grammie, Auntie Lisa and I heart failure, but he had fun! But...then Ari had to get in on the action! It was a fun day - but we're all exhausted!

Lil Miss & her blanket

Ari's best friend by far is her blankie. She brings that "thing" all over the house with her and can't sleep with out it! She sucks on the corners and OMG the smell is awful...doesn't matter how many times we wash it! At this point it needs to be burned! LOL Here are some pictures of her yesterday in her cute little Red Sox dress and her blanket! Enjoy!

Wednesday Funday: Acton Discovery Museum

Yesterday our adventure led us to the Acton Discovery Museum. We were supposed to go to Davis' Farmland, but the forecast said rain - so we made the call to go to the Museum...well the forecast was wrong and it didn't rain all day! Oh well...

This place was really cool - and the kids had a blast. It is an old Victorian house and each room is a different theme. All of the kids had a great time! I was smart and brought Joyce with me this time! She had 1 child and I had the other...it was MUCH easier!

From there, all 10 of us went to Friendly's - I think that was the biggest adventure of the day! 3 tables, 5 kids and 5 adults and SLOW service = mass chaos! It was a great day but we were all wiped out in the end!

Visit with Aunt April, Uncle Scott & Craig

Today we went to David's Aunt April's house - we hadn't seen them since Christmas - so we paid a visit. They have a gorgeous swimming pool so we took the kids swimming - they are little fish - just like Bri & I used to be!

No more mini van for me!

This weekend David and I traded in the mini van! It is bittersweet to see it go, however, I'm not a mini van mom! I'll miss my automatic doors and trunk, but I'd much rather be in an SUV! It seats 7 passengers, but the difference with this is that Dominic can sit between the kids in the front bench which will give us MUCH more room in the back for all the "stuff" we always have to bring with us! David is picking up my new car on tomorrow- I'll be working a golf tournament for the Alumni Association, so I won't be home until late.

My new car is a Nissan Pathfinder - it has 34k miles on it - and is in pretty good condition. It has a few scratches, but other than that rides GREAT! It also has a sun roof which is a must for me!

Here are a few photos:

Wednesday Funday = Lunch with Grammie & Easton Children's Museum

Well rain put a damper on today's outdoor activity - so instead we moved things indoors. Today was a later start because Lisa had to pick up her stepson at golf camp at noon - so today we were meeting at 1pm. Since we were supposed to go to Capron Park Zoo, and weren't going to be there until 1, we made plans to have lunch at Grammie's work today. We had an 11:30 lunch in her cafeteria and we even surprised her and brought Dominic with us...he was such a HUGE help!

We then ventured off to the Easton Children's Museum, which is an old fire station in the center of Easton - It was so adorable, but I really needed 2 adults for this adventure. Dominic was a big help, but it isn't the same as another adult, as he wanted to be a kid and play with Tim as well. The place was so cute, but really small, so my limo stroller wasn't feasible to bring inside - so Lisa came out to get Ari and I brought in Matthew - and from that moment on they were in 2 different directions! They stayed in the same area for the most part, but then started exploring. I had to change Ari's outfit because I think she drank to much at lunch, because she peed through everything...Luckily I had another shirt in the bag! Matthew was going up stairs, Ari was beating kids up, it was such a joyous day...NOT! We met some other friends there, Elissa has a 13 month old, and Shanna has a 14 month old, then Lisa and I have 3 16 month olds...so it was fun to see all the kids interacting and playing...but...Lisa looked at me and said laughing...Your kids are CRAZY!

We went upstairs and at one point I was looking after Kiera, Ari and Matthew and I felt like for a moment what it would be like to have 3 kids...yea NOT for me! Ari thought it was a game to run right by me and run into the hall way to be chased - Matthew thought it would be fun to climb the ladder in the little tree house - all in all - Mom didn't have much fun! If David was with me and I only had to "watch" 1 of them - it would be a different story - but today was tough! Then - Kiera was playing with a spatula from the kitchen set and Ari tried to grab it from her - I thought we were going to have a drop down fighting match - those 2 are so strong headed it isn't funny! I went over and took it away from Arianna and gave it back to Kiera since she had it first and Arianna decided it would be great to hit me in the face and bite my cheek! From that point on she sat on my lap - she was in BIG trouble! After about 20 minutes of her sitting nicely with me, I let her go play - I ran to the bathroom and Lisa was watching the kids...she turned her back for a minute - and Ari decided to play on the table with the magic markers...I came back in and she was covered in marker! LOL Oh well - at least they are washable!

We only lasted maybe 20 more minutes - both kids were going w/out a nap and were becoming VERY unruly - and I was getting aggravated with them too! haha On the ride home I already called my Mother in law to see if she will join me on next weeks adventure to Davis' Farmland!

Canobie Lake Park

Yesterday we took the kids to Canobie Lake Park in Salem, NH. The weather was great and the kids had a blast on the rides! We took them on quite a few rides and into the water park. Dominic and I went on the Boston Tea Party, which is a flume ride and we got SOAKED! Dominic is a maniac when it comes to rides - he even went on the Turkish Twist, which is the ride that spins and spins then the floor drops and you stick to the wall! UGH makes me sick just typing about it!

Arianna and Matthew loved the rides ... well more Ari than Matthew. Matthew started getting tired and hot so he let Ari have fun on the last few rides. Arianna finally passed out in the stroller and slept for about 45 minutes and Matthew got his 2nd wind. He was laughing and saying hi to everyone who passed by him. Finally our day came to an end and we drove home...Matthew finally passed out!

Wednesday Funday: Jump N Play

Today's trip was to Jump N Play in Gardner - with the heat @ 100 degrees outside - we figured it would be best to stay inside today! Jump N Play was really cool - they had 4 large inflatable bounce houses, as well as little things for the kids to ride and play on. Ari had a BLAST - but Matthew...well he's so crabby and whiny and he's driving me absolutely NUTS today! I know he still doesn't feel well but he's really driving me crazy! We stayed there for 2 hours and the kids all ran around and played. My friend Kris met us there with her 2 year old twins Chloe and Hunter as well.
