Wednesday Funday: Easton Children's Museum

This Wednesday we ventured off to the Easton Children's Museum. Lynn came with me to give me the extra hand with the kids, and Lisa was able to get one of her former students (who is now in 10th grade) to meet her there and assist with Kiera. The kids had a blast!

Lynn painted Ari's face - she wanted to be a cat! She got 1/2 way there, and Ari was done...wanted to run around! We let the kids run around and then we headed upstairs! Upstairs they have an arts & crafts room. The craft for the day was making 4th of July hats! They had the paper, red/white/blue sparkly things to put on the hat etc. and they also had a bunch of markers to color on the hat! I turned around to help Arianna with something and Matthew decided to put on "lipstick" Well...he really missed his lips! I then turned to help Matthew and Ari had grabbed a black marker and ever so daintily drew on the black lipstick on her lips! hahaha

After making the hats and playing for a while, we went outside for a picnic. The kids enjoyed eating outside and playing after they were done!

Looking forward to our next Funday...we leave for Hershey Park, PA with the kids camping!

Fun...but exhausting weekend!

This weekend was a lot of fun...but I'm exhausted! It started at 2am Saturday a.m.! Our friends Marci, Andy, Erin and Brian were leaving for Mexico (the trip we were originally going on...) and I offered to drive them to the airport! So...Off I went at 2:15 to pick them up! We arrived at Logan at 4 and I dropped them off, and turned around and drove home! Arrived back home at 5 and went off to bed! I slept a few hours then I knew it was time to get up (8:30). We packed into the car and went off to Target and rant a few other errands. The kids then took a nap and I made Brownies and Banana bread.

Grammie was coming up to watch the kids for us...David and I were headed out for Shanni's birthday! The kids hadn't seen Grammie for a few weeks due to her trip- so they were anxiously awaiting her arrival! The weather ended up turning BEAUTIFUL...the sun was out - so while we were waiting for Shanni and JJ to arrive, we all went outside! The kids were showing off their outfits to our neighbors. Grammie bought Matthew a Turkish shirt and Ari a belly dancing outfit (which she does NOT want to take off!) The entire neighborhood ended up being outside when our ride to Deuxave showed up! All of the kids in the neighborhood were SO excited to see our stretch limo JJ got for us! Ari and Matthew jumped right in and didn't want to get out!

We had a GREAT dinner at Deuxave and of course...got the VIP treatment! Here are a few pictures of our night...(we went in style since we weren't in Mexico!)

Today, Grammie and I took the kids strawberry picking! Matthew and Ari ate more strawberries than they put in the box!

Later today we headed downtown for the Summer Stroll - its a cute fair in downtown Leominster where vendors are set up - and you get to see what's available in Leominster. Ari was definitely a movie star!

Kids are in bed...and I'm headed there as well! We had a FUN weekend!

Wednesday Funday: Fun day with mom!

Sorry this post is a few days late...that just shows how nutty life has been! Last Wednesday was Lisa's last day of work, so we didn't have anything planned. The kids and I were going to do something fun - but the weather didn't cooperate! Instead, Lynn (our neighbor) was finishing up her finals and we were able to pick her up from school at noon on Wednesday - then we took the kids to McDonald's for lunch! Both kids got a happy meal and ate their entire lunch (which was a cheeseburger and fries!)

Until next week...

Baseball Champions!

Dominic's baseball team played last night for the championship. I brought the kids and we stayed until the top of the 6th inning (which technically is the last inning) and I left because the kids were getting VERY antsy! Dominic's team was down a run and apparently they won in the bottom of the 6th! YIPPEE!

During the 4th inning Uncle Dave and I walked the kids over to the fire station, which is across the street from the field. They were SO excited to see the trucks! The fireman let both kids sit up in the ladder truck! Matthew was terrified...but Ari didn't want to get out! She was so excited to be in the big truck!

Here are some photos from yesterday:

Wednesday Funday: Mommy shopping trip, Lunch, and the Stanley Cup Finals!!!!!!!

Lisa and I changed our plans a little bit due to all 3 kids getting her bad cold! (Thanks Auntie Lisa!) so instead of having the kids run around and jump at Monkey Joes, we went to the Emerald Square Mall to pick up the photos we had done 2 weeks ago. The photo studio was closed when we got there, so we walked around the mall. I got the kids some new "flip flops" and sun glasses. They thought they were SO cool! After picking up the photos, we decided to head to Friendly's for lunch! My kids were apparently STARVING! I ordered Matthew Mac & Cheese w/hot dogs, and Ari had 2 cheeseburger sliders and French Fries. I split both meals, and the kids each had a little burger, 1/2 a hot dog, mac & cheese and fries! They ate almost the entire thing!!! Then came the ice cream! They wanted strawberry ice cream w/M&M's! They were rewarded with the ice cream not only for eating their entire meal, but for also telling Mommy when we were at the mall that they had to go potty! Both Arianna and Matthew went potty on the big toilet at the mall - and then again at Friendly's! They stayed dry all day! Here's one of the photos we had done 2 weeks ago...Best Friends for life:

After lunch, we headed to the Christmas Tree shop for a while...but the kids started getting tired so we called it quits! On our drive home, David called me and asked if he should bring home is projection screen from work so we can watch the Bruins Game 7 outside with the neighbors! Of course...we all jumped at that!

After trying to set up a volleyball net in the yard w/the projector, our neighbor Bob had a brilliant idea...why not just project the game on his garage door?!? DUH! So...we set up the projector, TV, had the Champagne chilling and had a GREAT night outside! GO BRUINS! 2011 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wednesday Fun Day - Auntie Lisa's House

Today I took the kids to Auntie Lisa's house for a play date. Lisa started back to school Monday after being off since February, so to make things a little easier on her - I traveled down to Abington. The weather was expected to be 100 degrees - so we set up the sprinkler for the kids to run through. They played on the swings, ran through the sprinkler and we then made lunch. After lunch, we cleaned the kids up and took them for ice cream! Matthew had his first "cone" and because the weather was so hot - he had more of the cone on his lap! They were so messy we had to ride back to Leominster in just diapers!

Wednesday Funday's are back!

Today was the first adventure of the summer...and boy was it an adventure! Lisa and I took the 4 kids to JCPenny's to get their photos taken together. We got some really cute photos done for Father's Day! We even got some great shots of all of us together!

Trying to get 3 - 2 year olds and a 4 month old to cooperate was quite the adventure! After the photos we took the kids to Bertucci's for pizza! After all we had to bribe them with something! :-)
