Summer is upon us

Another Piccolo school year has come and gone and now it's time for the kids to relax and enjoy the summer activities! On Friday, the school had a "step up" program & ice cream party for all of the kids who were going from Preschool to Pre-K! Their teachers wanted to thank all of the parents, introduce them to Ms. Jeannie (their new teacher) and show us the new classroom! Ms Marie made collage pictures of the kids throughout the year and gave it to the parents as a present! It's hard to believe that they only have 1 year left at Piccolo before they start Kindergarten!

I haven't had a chance to give an update about Matthew's hearing test - he passed with flying colors...so now we know he has "selective hearing"! Ari is still going to the Chiropractor 2x a week - so far so good!

My cupcake business has taken off this month! In the past 2 weeks, I have done 2 weddings, a baby shower and a pre-school graduation! I have made over 1,000 cupcakes just this week!

Mom has been busy walking and practicing for the Susan G. Komen 3-day walk! I'm $1,000.00 away from my final goal of $4600! As of now, I have qualified for Boston - but I'm hoping to raise the other $$ to qualify to walk Washington DC as well! You must raise $2300 for each city you walk...so if you know of any friends or family who haven't donated yet...or wish to donate, please let me know! It's crunch time...I have 5 weeks until my walk! The picture below is from this past Saturday - we worked a booth at the Summer Stroll in downtown Leominster. We sprayed hair pink, sold pink lemon-aid and other "pink" things. We raised over $500.00 so I got another $100 donated to my page!

Yesterday, my brother and I pulled off the BEST surprise party for my mom! She turns 60 next weekend and we had 75 of her closest friends and family there to celebrate! She had absolutely NO idea! She thought she was coming to Boston Chops for a Breast Cancer fundraiser to help raise $$ for my walk! (sneaky!) Everything from the cake, to the favors, centerpieces, etc - Brian and I plan well together - and I think he should add me as his Vice President so I can take care of all of his events! (wishful thinking)

Now on to me...I'm doing well - as I mentioned, walking almost every day, busy driving the kids to their doctors appointments, to school, etc. and baking LOTS of cupcakes! Back in February I bought this dress as my first "goal" to lose some weight and feel great(it didn't fit when I bought it - but for the price...I couldn't resist!) When I put it on yesterday ... it fit like a glove and everyone LOVED it! I'm feeling great, working out and can't wait until I can take my 60 mile (hopefully 120 mile) journey in a few weeks!

We head out on our family vacation to Nashville in a few weeks - I can't wait because this mom really needs it!
