Busy weekend...story of our life
This was a busy weekend for sure! I had to work Saturday morning, then I took the kids to Kaeli's 4th birthday party! I made the "Tinkerbell" cupcakes and I made Marci Boston Cream Cupcakes for her birthday...both were YUMMY! The kids enjoyed playing, but Arianna got in trouble with Uncle Andy, as she decided to draw an "A" with sidewalk chalk on the hood of his car! I had to explain to her that chalk only goes on the ground and we never draw on other people's things! After a few tears, she finally said sorry and understood that what she did was wrong.
On Sunday, I had registered to do the March of Dimes walk with my "Mom of Multiples" group. Only 2 of us were able to do the walk. Mind you - it was only a 3 mile walk, so that is easy for me! I typically do 4-5 miles in an hour with Zee in the mornings. Well....it took us 2 hours to walk 3 miles! Ari and Matthew were fighting, kicking each other, hitting each other, dropping things, and then let's not forget about the 25 minute bathroom trip to Dunkin' Donuts! By the time we got out of there, they were cleaning up the race route! We finally made it back to our car and I called David. I said "Now do you understand why - if I'm going for a "walk" I don't want to take them with me?" His response was - well what were the other twins doing? (Tracy has twin daughters who came with her and they will be 3 in July) - I said "David - they were looking at our 2 as if they were friggin idiots!" and then followed that with a lot of laughter!
From the walk, I took the kids to Grammie's house - we wanted to give Daddy the whole weekend to work on Dominic's room (which he's now starting the Sheetrock - so it's coming along great!) At Grammie's the kids were playing on their new swing-set and Grammie even showed them a birds next with Robbin's eggs.
While at Grammie's house, Matthew was being very naughty! He ended up sitting in 2 time-outs for not listening, and finally I had it! I had him sit in the corner until we were done making dinner! 45 minutes later - he was still in time-out! Arianna had fun playing with her dress-up clothes and being a princess.
After dinner we made the trek back home - gave the kids a bath, had them brush their teeth and they went to BED! Mom needed to go to bed too - I was exhausted! Here's a picture of how they "brush their teeth." - forget the step-stool - let's stand on the bottom drawer of the cabinet!
